Raja Ampat, Indonesia

According to David Atenborough, the seas arround Raja Ampat are the most biodiverse in the world. These images are from a 10-day snorkelling trip to Raja Ampat, at the heart of the Coral Triangle, in Indonesia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coral_Triangle. My trip, in January 2026, was organised by Snorkel Venture, https://snorkelventure.com/. We travelled to Sorong in Southwest Papua, on the Island of Guinea and joined a liveaboard boat the Coralia, https://www.coralia-liveaboard.com/.  With a snorkel guide from Snorkel Venture and more from Coralia we were very well looked after. Another great holiday with fantastic snorkelling, incredible fish, coral and great company. We visited many islands and reefs near Missol, including a Leopard Shark breeding centre, https://www.misool.info/blog/2024/10/31/reshark-everything-you-need-to-know and and more islands and reefs in the Dampier Strait. The area is famous for its limestone karst rocks and pinacles rising vertically from the sea.
