Switzerland

I visited Wengen in Lauterbrunen in June 2011, timed to see the Lady’s Slipper Orchid in flower; see the section of The Alps, under Hardy Orchids. We had a fantastic guide who knew all the flowers and where to find them. There are amazing views of the snow capped mountains just from the railway sttation. This was another trip organised by Naturetrek (https://www.naturetrek.co.uk/).

We set off walking round the mountains every day; here is the view from the top of Mannlichen, looking along the Lauterbrunnen valley and some of the flowers.
