I visited this wonderful region of France in July 2012 with Naturetrek (https://www.naturetrek.co.uk/). I chose the time in order to see the famous Ghost Orchid, now extinct in England. The Vercors is a high plateau region of contrasting limestone mountains, forests and broad valleys, which lies south of Grenoble. I show the orchids of this region and other flowers on the next page.
